How do I search for courses using my GPS location?

It’s easy.  On the “Find a Course” screen, simply tap the “Where I Am” bar.

How do I search for courses in a specific zip code or city?

To search by zip code, type in the zip code in the “Zip” box using the keyboard that will appear when you tap on the box, then tap the blue “Search” key on the bottom right corner of the keyboard to begin your search.

To search by city, first select a state from the scrollable drop down menu. Then in the “City” box type in the city name using the keyboard that will appear when you tap the box. Be sure to tap the blue “Search” key on the bottom right corner of the keyboard to begin your search.

My initial search gave me too many courses. How can I narrow my search?

FindMe18 is set up to automatically show all courses in its database that match your mile and location criteria.  However, you can choose to narrow your search with filters based on type of course (e.g. public, private, etc.) and/or by fee range.

To narrow your search, simply tap the setting icon located at the bottom left corner on the “Find a Course” screen. This will take you to the “Course Search Settings” screen where you can update search filter criteria by course type and fees. Be sure to tap “Save” to set the criteria.

Once you’ve saved your new search settings, all your searches will be based on those criteria until you update them again.

How do I add and remove courses to my “Favorites” list?

To add a course to your “Favorites”, simply tap on the “Bookmark Course” navigation button located at the bottom of the “About the Course” description screens for individual courses.

Once you have added a course to your “Favorites”, you will see that the middle navigation button at the bottom of the “About the Course” description screens will update to read “Unbookmark Course”. To remove a course from your “Favorites”, tap this button.

Where does FindMe18 get its course information?

FindMe18 pulls from a third-party provided database of over 18,000 U.S. golf courses. The information in the database was collected from public websites. While we have worked to make corrections to errors we’ve spotted, we are unable to guarantee that data provided is current or complete.

Why are there banner ads on FindMe18?

We understand that many find ads unwelcome, but they do help us keep FindMe18 free of charge for you and others. That being said, to help keep their presence limited within the app, we made a conscious decision to only allow banner ads on one screen.
